BMD Playout Module

Output StreamPix video directly to a Blackmagic Design 3G-SDI frame grabber, such as the DeckLink or UltraStudio Series — uncompressed, seamlessly, and ready for the most demanding scientific imaging, screen-based broadcast production, or green-screen return feeds.
The BMD Playout Module supports up to 10-bit YuV or RGB, even when running continuous rolling buffer recording while simultaneously outputting the video for live operator review.

Real-time or recorded output

Stream live to professional monitors and projectors, or play back recorded sequences (RAW or AVI) frame-accurately.
For instance, you can now send edited or processed video back from a workstation to a production switcher or display monitor.
You can also playback slow-motion inspection footage to a large 3G-SDI monitor in a laboratory or factory setting.

Single-cable simplicity

Full 1080p60 uncompressed over one 3G-SDI BNC coaxial cable. Clean installations, zero compromise.
For SDI output, NorPix supports BMD adapters, including the DeckLink Mini Monitor 4k PCIe playback card.

User-selectable resolutions

Output resolution adapts to your frame grabber — configure the mode that fits your workflow, not the other way around.
Mismatched source and output resolutions? No problem — the BMD Playback Module automatically scales your image to fit, aspect ratio intact.
Raw Bayer source? The module converts the image to full color output using your active Bayer/color workspace settings — no manual pipeline required.

Direct hardware integration

StreamPix drives Blackmagic DeckLink and UltraStudio hardware natively — no conversion layers, no signal degradation.
Output targets include broadcast monitors, professional decks, large-screen TVs, and projectors — certified for uncompressed digital transfer at full signal integrity.

Timecode Integration

StreamPix supports Linear Time Code (LTC) decoding and embedding, which can be passed directly via the SDI signal to the Blackmagic card for precise synchronization.
