StreamPix/ Supported Frame Grabbers/ EMS
EMS:
StreamPix supports the PhynxRGB - VGA/RGB Capture Card.
A standalone PCI plug in card, the PhynxRGB captures the display output (e.g. the analogue RGB data) from one computer screen and then displays it as an independent application, in real time, on your Windows® desktop. The PhynxRGB-II has two VGA compatible inputs for simultaneously feeding two independent data sources directly into your main PC. The data is then converted on the PhynxRGB and displayed as a standard Windows® application on your desktop.
Combined with StreamPix, you can record to sequence file or AVI the video.
Typical max performance on a regular P4 will be:
- 1024x768, 16 bit @ 66 fps. CPU load is 33 %, direct to disk, no frame drop.
- 1280x1024, 16 bit @40 fps, CPU load is 40%, direct to disk, no frame drop.
- 1280x1024, 32 bit(BRGx) @20 fps, CPU load is 20%, direct to disk, no frame drop.
It is also possible to adjust the capture rate, so that for instance only one frame per second can be archived.
