NORPIX ANNOUNCES STREAMPIX4-8X100
Montreal, September 1, 2007. NorPix announces StreamPix4-8x100, a complete turnkey system providing simultaneous, synchronized capture from 8 cameras to a single computer. The setup includes StreamPix4 digital video recording software, a fully configured computer and 8 cameras with either CMOS or CCD sensors. Ideal for use in the special effects industry for motion capture at multiple angles, the system has countless other possible applications.
- 90-120 frames per second at 640x480 in 8-bit monochrome or raw Bayer color.
- Recording length 200-400 minutes per camera.
- Cameras synchronized using simultaneous trigger mode.
- All images individually timestamped.
What makes StreamPix4-8x100 unique is its use of cutting-edge GigE technology. Short for GigE Vision, GigE's extremely high bandwidth (1000 Mbps) allows large uncompressed images to be transferred quickly in real time. Ten times faster than Fast Ethernet, it's the key to achieving high-speed, high-resolution motion capture.
Other multi-camera systems require multiple computers. StreamPix4-8x100 handles the input from all 8 cameras using a single computer, with every stream and every image instantly accessible through the StreamPix4 user interface.
- Unified management console simplifies setup, control and acquisition.
- VCR style controls: Record, Play, Rewind, Fast-Forward, Step, Pause.
