Audio: Add audio to your recorded sequences.

With StreamPix you can now add audio in one of two says, either directly to a sequence while it is being recorded or to an image file after recording.

Adding audio to an AVI file:

  • Use the windows mixer to select from which source to record. Ex: select and un-mute microphone, line-in or wave.
  • In StreamPix, Open StreamPix Settings and select AVI setting tab.
  • Select both the video codec and the audio codec you wish to use. Make sure that in the Recording tab the capture to an AVI movie clip file menu is selected.

Adding audio to an image within a sequence file.

  • Go the PlugIn settings page after loading your sequence in StreamPix. Select and make active the NorPix Audio notes PlugIn. The audio note PlugIn window will pop up.
  • Make sure your audio source is working properly and selected as your audio recording source.
  • In the PlugIn window, select the input source from the drop down list. The name of the wav file created will be shown in the text box just under the source list box. The audio clips are saved in the same directory as the sequence file. For a sequence file captured under the name capture.seq, the corresponding clip files will be named capture_X.wav where "X" is the frame number. For example, the audio clip file associated to the 34th frame of "test.seq" will be "test_34.wav".
  • Press "Record" to start recording and "Stop" when done. At Playback time, for each frame where an audio note was recorded, StreamPix will pause the video playback while playing the audio note.
